Warwick, Royal Leamington Spa and Stratford-upon Avon

Early rise and then a walk to the local shops and a well deserved coffee - should see the steep streets I should have started training months ago. But in saying that I would put up with the pain to experience the beauty of the village.

Warwick is a historic town dominated by a magnificent castle which overlooks River Avon. The castle dates from the 13th and 14th centuries. Our cottage is like as far as it used to be to walk up Bimbadeen drive from the house to the castle. Mr whippy seems to be a permanent fixture in the street.

After our walk this morning we climbed in the trusty Ford Galaxy and travelled the couple of miles to Leamington Spa. We again walked the streets -they is beauty in every street. After two hours and via Tesco (supermarket) we dived home before traveling to Stratford on Avon.

Stratford is the birth place of England greatest poet and playwright William Shakespeare and his house still stand today as does his wife Anne Hathaways home.

Five very weary soles returned to Mill Street for the usual Gin before Joan and Elizabeth cooked up a storm in the kitchen.

Another big day is planned for tomorrow - watch this space!

- Warwick -in every village we have visited baskets adorn the street like this and all living!

Another beautiful example of the building in the street.
