Inverness to Faugh

What a long but beautiful drive. We were up and waiting in Dining room at 8 for breakfast. Breakfast was amazing as the B and B except for a s one it kept us going till 7 this evening. Left around 9 and went towards Dingwall a place close to Paul the home of his ancestors. A delightful town expected to stay half hour but 2hours later left to travel to Loch Ness it was such a beautiful place no sign of the monster but just rolling hills with the hint of heather and of course water falls asending down the hills.

As we passed through Loch LInnhe we were in massive traffic jam couldn't work out the problem and as the car in front moved off we where confronted by a very old man on a motor scooter! He certainly wasn't fazed by anything just waved as we passed. Reminded me of the man on the Tasman Bridge.

We stopped at Bealy for toilet stop and finally passed through the outskirts of Glasgow to arrive at Faugh just out of Carlisle in the county of Cumbria around 6.30 this evening.

What a delight it is so peaceful a little out of town with most magnificent history and the String of Horses didn't let us down as we arrived as a Horse and cart was pulled up to the front door.

Met for GIn and tonic in Paul and Joans room before going to the Dining room.

The meals were oh oh so nice I had a Marocon Lamb tagine. So spicy and nice.

Tomorrow we are going to Plymouth before going to Warick for 3 days to catch up with my relatives - grave yard stuff although today we followed a truck how had on the rear the name Slater. The owners of the Hotel are Colin and Jill Ramsay I am wondering if they are relatives of my cousin?

Till tomorrow I say goodnight.
